This polyurethane matrix gel, is used in all Selle Royal's gel bicycle seats, it has been patented by Bayer in Germany and exclusively licensed to Selle Royal for the manufacture of gel saddles.

Selle Royal's gel bicycle seats absorb shocks much better than any other ordinary saddle. Royalgel is an excellent gel padding material for saddles as it reduces pressure peaks up to 40%. The cyclist has a better distribution of the weight on the entire surface of the gel saddle with great comfort for the prostate or pubis area.

Furthermore Royal Vacuum System (RVS) enables the gel bicycle seat to be formed the desired shape. In fact Royalgel and the polyurethane foam padding are injected directly into the mould. There is no need of adhesives or metal anchor system and the result is an everlasting gel saddle with superior comfort.
