In 70 years of making bicycle saddles, we’ve made a lot of mistakes
Usually, mistakes stay hidden behind factory doors. They’re bad for business. Bad for the ego. Bad for the brand. We’re taught to pretend they never happened.
To celebrate our 70th anniversary, we’re doing the opposite.

Nothing to Hide is a collection of experiments, dead ends, misbehaving materials and happy accidents that helped shape who we are today.
Join us at Union Pacific, a contemporary art gallery in East London, to see what happens when you stop hiding the things that didn’t go to plan.
What you'll find
Sculptures: transparent saddles on custom steel structures.
Evolution: saddle foam turned into something else.
Failures: prototypes that went awfully wrong.
Future: artworks by IUAV design students, made from leftover production materials.
Human: photographs from behind factory doors by Matteo De Mayda.

Some of these ideas went nowhere. Some changed direction. Some eventually became the products you know today. We’re showing you all of it. We have nothing to hide.
